The Keel-billed Toucan is found throughout the Caribbean lowlands
of our region. Their size and distinctive appearance makes them
easy to spot as they fly over the canopy and their distinctive,
croaking voice makes them easy to locate in the forest. In Guatemala,
I have seen them at Cerro Cahui and Tikal. In Honduras, I have
seen them at La Muralla, Lancetilla, Las Marias, Los Naranjos,
Pico Bonito, Cerro Azul, Cuero y selado, Tempiscapa and the
coastal parts of Mosquitia. This species is not found in El
Salvador.
